Shabbat Summer Schedule Beginning on Friday evening June 25th, join us every Friday throughout the summer at 6:00 pm. As the sun sets and the week winds down, we come together for a relaxed and relaxing Shabbat evening service with guitar led song, poetry and prayer. Dress is casual and spirit is high as we share Shabbat together as a community.
Looking for a good book this summer? Don’t forget to check out the Temple’s library. We have a wonderful display of popular fiction titles for both adults and children. We have books by Anita Diamant, Geraldine Brooks and Markus Zusak on display. The library is open whenever the Temple is so stop on by. As a side note the library is currently undergoing a modest remodeling project, so watch for details on the new and improved library in the fall!
Calling All Torah and Haftarah Readers! It has long been the custom at Temple Beth Shalom that members of our congregation read Torah and Haftarah at the High Holy Day services held both in our sanctuary and at our family services at the Masonic Hall. Please take a moment to look at your calendars and consider when you might like to honor us, your temple family, by reading Torah or Haftarah. Intersted? Job Seekers' Networking Group TBS C.A.R.E.S. has scheduled monthly meetings to provide mutual support, to promote the exchange of ideas and suggestions, and to offer useful information on the job search process and related issues. Whether you are just starting your job search, or you have been looking for a while, or you expect that you will be looking soon, please join us at these meetings. We will try to provide useful, practical information in a relaxed, supportive setting. No pre-registration or advance sign-up is required, but it will help if you can let us know that you expect to attend.
